Georgina Belbin has been walking my dogs for at least 4 years. Georgina has a very mature attitude and the welfare and safety of the animals she cares for is her priority. However, the walks are also fun for the animal as she clearly loves all animals. I currently have 2 dogs which Georgina walks and they are always so pleased to her, I would not hesitate in recommending Georgina.

Georgina looks after our dog, horses, chickens and sheep when we are away. She also did the animals and helped with our toddler when I hurt my back and was unable to walk. She clearly cares about the animals in her charge, and she showed great compassion when caring for our toddler and me.

Georgina’s communication is good and she is always on time both for appointments to see what needs doing and for the actual job, which matters a lot to us.

Before we found Georgina we had tried other smallholding and/or pet sitters but never managed to find anybody as reliable or caring as Georgina, and it has made a huge difference to us. We had become reluctant to leave the farm for a few years but we are now happy to go away knowing that our animals and property are secure and well cared for.

Georgina knows our animals now but still comes for a visit before we need her to remind herself of where things are and check for changes in the régime, and to remind the animals who she is and make sure they are comfortable with her.

She has never cancelled. She texts us to confirm she’s been and that all is well which gives us added peace of mind, and also to ask if we want something done that we haven’t asked for in case we have forgotten (yes!).

We know our naughty chickens will be shown where bed is and will be let out on time (a previous ‘carer’ left two-week-old goslings locked up with no food or water until midday in a heatwave; they could have died if a neighbour hadn’t gone to check them before that). We know that our less dominant horse will get his share of food and that rugs will be checked and changed if the weather demands it. We know that our dog loves her - on her last pre-visit he leapt around whining to get out and see her as soon as her car pulled up on the drive. He doesn’t do that with anybody else.

Georgina handles our animals how they should be handled – firmly and kindly. We have always felt that she gives them her full attention. While she is very practical and will always use her initiative if there is a problem, she does as she is asked rather than deciding ‘her way is best’. We like some things done our way, whether for convenience, safety or other reasons and she always respects that.

We cannot recommend Georgina highly enough.
